Oregon’s Julie Schroeder finished second overall at a 17-over-par 161 in the Wisconsin State Women’s Senior Amateur Championship on June 21, at the Reedsburg Country Club.
On the second day of the two-day tournament, Schroeder shot a 5-over-par 77. She birdied the 305-yard No. 5. She also posted five pars on the front nine. She racked up six pars on the back nine. The toughest hole for her was No. 15 where she took a double bogey.
Pewaukee’s Maggie Leaf shot an 8-over-par 152 to win the tournament, nine strokes ahead of Schroeder.
In the first round of the tournament on June 20, Schroeder shot a 12-over-par 84. She had two pars on the front nine. She shot a double bogey on No. 5. Schroeder found her groove on the back nine with six pars. She double bogeyed the 295-yard No. 18.
