The Oregon softball team picked up a pair of Badger West Conference wins on Tuesday, May 9, at Oregon High School. The Panthers (12-8, 11-3 Badger West) blanked Reedsburg 6-0 and then 10-run ruled Portage 11-1.

Lauryn Etienne tossed a no-hitter and Oregon found its offense late in the Panthers’ shutout win. In seven innings, Etienne allowed no hits or runs. She struck out nine and issued just two walks.
The game was scoreless before a two-run fifth for Oregon. The Panthers tacked on four more runs in the sixth.
Oregon’s one and two hitters combined for six hits. Brooke Bastian went 3-for-4 out of the leadoff spot with two runs scored and an RBI. Out of the No. 2 spot, Annabelle Monte finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Carly Zych drove in two runs on a pair of hits.
Oregon 11, Portage 1
Oregon scored eight runs in the fourth inning to run away with its win.
The Panthers led 3-0 after two innings before breaking the game open with their eight-run fourth.
Zych pitched a complete game in five innings of work. She allowed three hits, one earned while striking out 10. Etienne connected on two hits and had a team-best two RBIs. Teagan Simpson and Izzy Block also had two hits each for the Panthers. Maya Rudy and Simpson both scored twice.
Oregon was scheduled to play Reedsburg in the Badger West Championship on Friday, May 12, but the game was rescheduled for Tuesday, May 16.
