The Oregon girls soccer team has played itself into the country's top team in the latest United Soccer Coaches' rankings.
“It’s great recognition to have,” Oregon coach Bobby Nichols said. “I think it’s stupidly insane in one breath and in another for the girls it’s incredibly awesome."
The Panthers are 20-0-1 on the season and have outscored opponents 139-3. Oregon will play in a sectional final with a chance to go to state on Saturday.
Oregon was ranked No. 12 in the previous national rankings.
