Eight players scored goals as the Stoughton Icebergs girls hockey team blanked Beaver Dam 10-0 in a Badger Conference game on Friday, Jan. 14, at the Mandt Community Center in Stoughton.

Viroqua netted a goal in the second overtime period to earn a 4-3 win over the Stoughton Icebergs in a Badger Conference girls hockey game on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Viroqua Community Arena.

Stoughton 10, Beaver Dam 0

Stoughton (7-6, 5-4 Badger Conference) netted five first-period goals against the Golden Beavers. The Icebergs added three scores in the second period and two in the third.

Defenseman Abby Hinrichs (McFarland) and forward Laila Howe (Monona Grove) both scored two goals. Defenseman Arianna Stroede (Monona Grove), forward Alexa Bartels (Oregon), forward Addy Milota (Stoughton) and defenseman/forward Morgan Rhyner (Stoughton) all collected one goal and one assist.

Defenseman Caitlyn Pautsch (Monona Grove) and forward Samantha Nelson (Stoughton) both recorded two assists. Players with one goal included defenseman Avery Gerothanas (Monona Grove) and defenseman Pyper Dailey (Oregon). Players that finished with one assist included forward Katelynn Weeks (Parkview), defenseman Jenna Klonsinski (Monona Grove) and forward Elliana Gaustad (Evansville).

Viroqua 4, Icebergs 3

Howe scored the only goal of the first period as she gave the Icebergs a 1-0 lead. Milota was credited with the assist on the score that took place 3 minutes, 44 seconds into the period.

Viroqua equalized 28 seconds into the second period and took a 2-1 lead late in the second. The Blackhawks extended their lead to 3-1 with a goal 1:12 into the third.

With the game winding down, the Icebergs cut the deficit to 3-2 with a goal from Milota 12:29 into the third. Howe assisted on the score.

Just over two minutes later at 14:33, Rhyner equalized thanks to assists from Milota and Stroede.

After a scoreless first overtime period, Viroqua broke the deadlock with a goal 3:38 into the second OT.

Viroqua narrowly outshot Stoughton 38-35. Aven Gruner collected 34 saves for Icebergs.
