The Oregon boys tennis team cruised to a 6-1 win over Reedsburg on Tuesday, April 26, in Reedsburg.
The Panthers swept all four singles matches. Kyle Barnish at No. 1 singles defeated Reedsburg’s Anthony Buss 6-1, 6-2. Nicolas Schaefer outlasted Reedsburg’s Joshua Thomas 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. At No. 3 singles, Christian Wirtz rolled by the Beavers’ Riley Cummings 6-2, 6-0 and Samuel Halverson at No. 4 singles defeated Giovani Rojas 6-1, 6-2.
The Panthers’ No. 2 doubles team of Josh Dieter and Aaron Hakes defeated Reedsburg’s Dayne Mernhardt and Tyler Singletary 6-4, 6-1. At No. 3 doubles, Oregon’s Ethan Johnson and Tyler Fisher breezed by the Beavers’ Zach Tourdot and Brogan Helmeid 6-1, 6-0.
