Glendora Simonson quilt

A series of quilts will reveal moments of a teacher, artist, African American woman and activist's life in a virtual presentation held by the Oregon Public Library Nov. 11.

The adult-oriented event is from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The presenter, Glendora Simonson, worked as an educator who taught special education students and later worked with other social service professionals to diagnose students' conditions.

She is also an inquisitive reader with a love of crafting which she has used to express herself creatively and contemplate social events.
