Tree lighting and chili dinner 2019

Christmas is just around the corner and the community is invited to come together to mark the holiday season.

The Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce and Oregon Fire/EMS association are hosting a holiday tree lighting with caroling at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3.

The event will be held at Waterman Triangle Park, 121 Janesville St. Santa will arrive by fire truck.

Attendees are encouraged to bring two nonperishable food items or a monetary donation for the Oregon Area Food Pantry.

Everyone is welcome to join families and friends for Christmas caroling at the park and enjoy hot dogs after at the fire station, 121 Spring St.

The drawing for the 2021 Oregon Area Fire/EMS Association Easy Money Raffle will take place at 7 p.m.
